$500 for  a driver, $1000 for a set of irons or $150 for a wedge; This is the “new” golf budget if you go to a golf store and want to upgrade your bag.  Obviously it gets expensive very quickly.  There is a reason every golf forum has the reoccurring question about finding similar products at a lower price.  We all want great performing equipment at a lower price.  Bombtech wedges won’t blow up your budget at 3 wedges for $100,  They offer great quality and performance at a lower price point.
Bombtech started as a driver company and has quickly expanded its offerings to most every club in the bag.  They offer great looking and performing clubs at a lower price point.  The Grenade line is blowing up the golf model that golf clubs have to be expensive to be quality.

Bombtech Grenade wedges are simple, straight forward wedges.  There is a Grenade logo on the back of the toe and the loft on the corner sole.  The polished chrome is very clean looking.  The grooved area of the face has a nice dull look in contrast to the chrome body.  The grind offers heel and toe relief.  From the top to the bottom of the set, they are all virtually the same, beside the loft.  While some might want different grinds for different clubs, I like the aggressive grind in every loft.

I put the Bombtech wedge set in play on some of my inaugural rounds in AZ.  While I’m still getting used to the firm turf, these wedges performed most admirably.  I was able to get up and down from all over the course.  I typically play a 50*, 54* and 58* wedge set, but the Bombtechs came in at 52*, 56* and 60*.  I know that this tends to be the most common lofts, I’ve moved to stronger ones because of my irons lofts and my comfort level with the highest lofted wedge.  Even though these weren’t my ideal specs, they certainly fit into the bag just fine.  I was still able to fill the 105 yard gap with the 52* wedge.  If I needed a low chip or full shot, this club worked very well.  The 56* filled the 95 yard gap as well as playing as my sand wedge.  In both cases it hit the ball right where I wanted.  I was most impressed out of the sand.  I got up and down over 65% of the time, which was an improvement for me.  The 60* was exactly what I expected from a lob wedge.  Most of the shots were right on, but every now and then the extra loft caused me to miss judge the spin and distance to go a little long or come up short.

The Bombtech Grenade wedge set offers all the performance you need in your wedges.  One of the key areas that all golfers want is consistent spin.  This is a feature that really shines on these wedges.  I felt like I had the same spin, shot after shot, and spin that I could control when necessary.  They feel very good for a cast wedge. Their design gives them a solid click at impact without a harsh feeling.  They have a smooth shape as the hosel transitions into the leading edge.  The overall shape is on the rounded side.  The good shape also helps with confidence when you set them down behind the ball.

Summary
